Launch of Phase 1 Public Input
The municipality will be collecting public input throughout the month of October 2024.
Public Information Meeting
A public information meeting for the Shore Lands designation review is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15 from 6-8 pm at the Wellington and District Community Centre.
Draft Official Plan Amendment
A Draft Official Plan Amendment will be developed between November and December.
Statutory Public Meeting
The County of Prince Edward is proposing Amendment No. 8 to the municipality’s Official Plan.
The purpose of Amendment No. 8 is to redesignate areas of the Shore Land designation (as shown on Schedule A of the Official Plan) to Rural or Agricultural where there is overlap with Natural Features and Areas (as shown on Schedule B of the Official Plan).
The Planning and Development Committee will meet its requirements for holding a public meeting for this Official Plan amendment on Wednesday, January 22.
The meeting will begin at 6 pm at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street, Picton).
