Planning Application and Review Process

Update: County Council approved on June 22, 2021 changes to the planning application and review process.

Among the most significant changes include:

Circulating applications to the appropriate advisory committee
Expanding the notice radius for hamlets and rural areas to 500 metres from 120 metres
Eliminating public information reports in favour of pubic information centres
Implementation of a consent agenda so that Planning Committee and/or Council can quickly deal with items
that are non-confrontational, uncontested and do not require any discussion
