Consultation has concluded

The municipality has adopted a new Comprehensive Zoning By-law. Thank you to everyone who participated in the project.

The County of Prince Edward is reviewing its Comprehensive Zoning By-law. The process will result in a new Comprehensive Zoning By-law to replace Zoning By-law (No. 1816-2006) as amended, which was first adopted by Council in 2006.

The Comprehensive Zoning By-law review will be undertaken in three phases.

  • Phase 1: Review and Analysis (Winter 2023) 
  • Phase 2: Summary Report and Draft Zoning By-law (Spring - Spring 2024)
  • Phase 3: Refinement and Finalization (Summer 2024 - Fall 2025)

There will be opportunities for community engagement throughout the process, including a public open house workshop, a statutory public open house, a statutory public meeting under the Planning Act, and the review of draft documents as they become available. The County anticipates completing this review in 2025.
